InBody Biometric Assessment

Biometric Assessments are a means of measuring body composition, in which an electric current is sent through your limbs and the rate at which the current travels is compared to similar others in the population (empirical data). Biometric Assessments are a means of measuring body composition, in which an electric current is sent through your limbs and the rate at which the current travels is compared to similar others in the population (empirical data). This determines what your body is composed of – lean mass, fat mass and water. This not only helps to determine your basal metabolic rate but can really help us gain insight into what’s happening if the scale doesn’t move, and prevent you from getting frustrated and abandoning the plan when this happens.

This machine is particularly accurate because it does not use any empirical data to compare to others in the population when estimating your body composition, it strictly uses impedance. This is a wonderful tool as it’s a quick and accurate measurement, and provides an easy-to-read breakdown of the values we are interested in, and records your progress over time.

“I believe in an evidence-informed, integrative and wellness-oriented approach to medicine. You don’t have to wait until you feel “bad enough” to take action, and it’s never too late to start optimizing your health. Using detailed interviewing, blood work and functional testing, my goal is to identify the root cause of your concerns, teach you how to manage it and support you in your journey to wellness! Conditions I am passionate about treating include integrative cancer care, weight management, women’s health, thyroid concerns, gut health, mental health and metabolic disease (like hypertension and diabetes). However, I am committed to exploring any health concerns you may have, using the best possible research available.”

Outside of clinic, I lead an active life in which I enjoy all things fitness, outdoors and social! I will never turn down a workout, hike with my beloved dachshund, or dinner with friends and family!

re you hiding your pain? Feeling like you are barely holding on? Managing to function but no one else knows how you really feel inside? Do you feel overwhelmed, inadequate, exhausted and are questioning yourself - your ability to cope and juggle all of life’s demands?

My passion is working with women who are trying to manage life as a mom & their careers. Young adults who are trying to find their place in the world, coping with relationships, demanding education life, and new careers. Supporting parents with tools to cope with the ever changing needs and challenges of family life. Working with families in need of post-adoption support holds a special place in my heart.

Life happens, events occur that throw us all for a loop and can change our confidence and ability to cope and can lead to stress, anxiety, uncertainty, and feelings of depression. It is my hope to provide a comfortable place for people to explore feelings that are difficult to share anywhere else. To help people slow life down, build confidence, make changes, and develop new ways of coping.

My work is rooted in warmth and acceptance, providing a client- centered and strengths based approach. I use an integrated approach combining relational therapy and cognitive behavioural theory. I draw from a variety of treatment modalities including art therapy and play therapy therapy techniques. I have a wealth of experience in dealing with trauma and extensive experience working with children, adolescents, parents, and families.

I’m Dr Samantha and I’m the founder of Bronte Wellness Boutique.

I believe that people deserve to wake up feeling happy, vibrant and excited to start their day, that health and happiness are empowering, and that you can help you change your life and the lives of those around you.

I’m a Licensed Naturopathic, mom of 1+2 in a blended family and retired fitness and yoga teacher dedicated to active living. My own health journey in dealing with undiagnosed hypothyroidism and hormonal imbalances led me down a path of studying Naturopathic Medicine over 20 years ago. My entire family was plagued with lifestyle related illness and it became my mission to change that for myself and those around me.

The reality of the health care model today is that we wait until things are a big problem or even broken before it can be addressed. Even still, our healthcare system is failing us with long wait times and limited access to specialists and treatments needed. Now more than ever, you can’t afford to wait for you and your health to fall apart.

This brings me to you.

Attaining optimal health really involves addressing the underlying cause of health issues assessing and integrating physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of health. That doesn’t happen in just one visit. My restorative health model allows us to take a deep dive into diagnostics and you to understand what’s happening with you, your body and your life. “Doctor as Teacher” is my guiding principle and I will walk you through an active healing journey to take charge of your body, heal and restore you health, energy and vibrancy. I use effective, evidence based treatments that are tailored for you and your individual uniqueness.

I have a wealth of experience in dealing with exhaustion, thyroid disease, hormone health and digestive health concerns. My special interest in Women’s health, thyroid restoration, bioidentical hormone replacement and anti-aging therapies. I’ve also design specific programs in IV vitamin therapy, weight loss, cosmetic acupuncture and total health assessments.

I’m here to be your teach, your coach and health guru on your journey. I would love to hear about how I can help you get health, look beautiful and feel amazing.
